The Basis for the NFA's Strategy
The NFA's strategy for 2021-2024 is aligned with the national initiatives in the working environment area, and the expectation that the NFA actively contributes to the implementation of these initiatives. Thus the NFA also contributes to several of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The strategy has three tracks:
Track 1: More innovative research
The NFA shall carry out more innovative research which employers and other working environment professionals use to maintain and develop healthy and safe workplaces. This must be done in close collaboration with stakeholders in the field and with the relevant research environments in Denmark and abroad. In this way, the NFA will ensure that the research is relevant and that knowledge is disseminated and communicated in such a way that it can be used to create a better working environment in Danish workplaces.
Track 2: Greater societal impact
The NFA shall make a greater societal impact through its research. For the NFA, this means that a greater proportion of the improvements that are made to our working environment and health, as well as political, social and economic improvements, are influenced wholly or partially, directly or indirectly, by knowledge based on the NFA's research. This must be done in close dia-logue with stakeholders in the working environment area.
Track 3: Strengthened organisational sustainability
The NFA shall strengthen its organisational sustainability. For us, this means strengthening the NFA's financial basis. We must therefore increase our external research funding, and we need to spread our financing to more prioritised funds. In addition, we need to make better use of our human and technological capital.
